The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has partially upheld an appeal from French tennis player Alexis Musialek against a Tennis Anti-Corruption Program (TACP) sanction imposed in August 2023. The panel overturned 16 corruption offenses proven at the first instance hearing, however 23 offenses were upheld.

The CAS ruling means that Musialek’s period of ineligibility has been reduced from a lifetime ban to a 10-year suspension. The player’s fine remains at $50,000. Musialek was previously found liable for 39 breaches of the TACP in 2023 by independent Anti-Corruption Hearing Officer Raj Parker. For full details, click here.

The player’s period of ineligibility runs from 5 August 2023, the date the first instance decision took effect, and will now end on 4 August 2033.

During the period of ineligibility, Musialek is prohibited from playing in, coaching at, or attending any tennis event authorised or sanctioned by the members of the ITIA (ATP, ITF, WTA, Tennis Australia, Fédération Française de Tennis, Wimbledon and USTA) or any national association.

The ITIA is an independent body established by its tennis members to promote, encourage, enhance, and safeguard the integrity of their professional tennis events.
