The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) today confirms that two tennis players have been sanctioned under the Tennis Anti-Corruption Program (TACP).

21-year-old Gustavo Tedesco, from Brazil, has been suspended for two years and three months, and fined $15,000 (of which $10,500 is suspended), after admitting to six breaches of the TACP in 2022.

Tedesco, who reached a career-high ITF world singles ranking of 423 in January 2023, was found to have contrived the outcome of three ITF World Tennis Tour matches between September and November of 2022, alongside facilitating wagering.

Individuals have 10 business days to appeal the sanction to an independent Anti-Corruption Hearing Officer. Tedesco elected not to appeal before the deadline. As such, the player’s period of ineligibility began on 24 January 2026 and will end on 23 April 2028.

In addition, 27-year-old former tennis player Gyulnara Nazarova, from Russia, has been suspended for four years and fined $10,000 after a separate investigation revealed evidence of historic TACP breaches in 2019.

Nazarova, who reached a career-high world singles ranking of 823 in August 2019 and has been inactive as a player since 2020, was found to have made corrupt approaches to another player in May 2019.

Nazarova was charged on 23 December 2025, and, following the individual’s failure to respond to the ITIA charges, a deemed sanction entered into effect on 10 January 2026 the period of ineligibility will end on 9 January 2030.

During their periods of ineligibility, Tedesco and Nazarova are prohibited from playing in, coaching at, or attending any tennis event authorised or sanctioned by the members of the ITIA (ATP, ITF, WTA, Tennis Australia, Fédération Française de Tennis, Wimbledon and USTA) or any national association.

The ITIA is an independent body established by its tennis funders to promote, encourage, enhance, and safeguard the integrity of their professional tennis events.
