The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) today confirms that Karen Moorhouse will be stepping down as CEO at the end of the month.
Karen joined the organisation at the start of February 2023, leading the ITIA through a period of progress, including the development of organisational values, a prevention-focused strategic plan through to 2027, the introduction of a player support programme, and the successful launch of The Line - the ITIA’s WhatsApp channel for players.
ITIA Chair Jennie Price CBE commented: "Karen has played a major role in developing the ITIA into one of the leading integrity organisations in global sport over the last three and a half years. She has made a valuable and important contribution to the ITIA and to tennis, and we thank her for her leadership, dedication, and commitment. We wish her every success in the future."
Karen Moorhouse said: "It has been a privilege to lead the ITIA. I am incredibly proud of everything we have achieved. Together, we have enhanced the support available to players, delivered our strategy, and successfully navigated some of the most complex and high-profile cases in our sport.
"The ITIA is in a strong position for the future, with a clear direction, talented people, and an unwavering commitment to protecting the integrity of tennis. I would like to thank everyone who has contributed to that success and wish the team the very best in the years ahead."
A recruitment process for a new CEO will begin shortly. In the meantime, the organisation will be led by senior directors Jenni Kennedy, Ben Rutherford, and Nicole Sapstead OBE.
